WELCOME TO 9TH GRADE!!!
This class is an Honors version of the 9th grade Earth Space Science Class. In order to be taking this class, you needed to have passed an entrance exam at the end of your 7th grade year or have been highly recommended by your 7th grade science teacher. This class will be on your college transcripts so make sure you are putting your very best effort forward!
This class is centered around the four basic elements of Earth/Space Science; Meteorology, Geology, Astronomy, and Oceanography. We will be completing several projects during the course of the year INCLUDING SCIENCE FAIR!
Because this class is not part of the regular 8th grade curriculum, nor a requirement from the state for 8th grade, FCAT is not covered in our pacing guide.
